What ingredients do you use to make your detergent? TOP
We use sodium borate, sodium carbonate and grated laundry soap to make our detergent.  We do not add any fillers.

I don't see any suds in my washer. Did I use enough detergent? TOP
Yes!  Simply Clean is a non-sudsing formula.  What does this mean?  Commercial detergent makers add chemicals to your laundry detergent to make suds in the wash.  This was started quite some time ago to let housewives know that they were using enough detergent.  We don't add any inactive or extraneous ingredients to our detergent, so you shouldn't ever see suds with Simply Clean.

Yes, Jenny's Simply clean is a non-sudsing formula and works wonderfully in high-efficiency washers.

Do I have to use Jenny's Simply Clean exclusively? TOP
No, you do not.  Jenny's Simply Clean will work well on all of your laundry or only on certain items.  It does not leave a residue in your washer, and as such can be easily used with other detergents.

Can I use fabric softener with Jenny's Simply Clean? TOP

Why do you double bag some orders? Isn't this wasteful? TOP
We make every effort to be lean in our packaging in order to reduce waste, but through shipping many, many orders, we've found that the bags can be damaged in transit very easily.  In order to get your order to you safely, we will often double-bag your items.  It's our hope that you will re-use or recycle the additional bag and that your order gets to you complete.

Do you offer any discounts? TOP

What's the difference between fragrance oils and essential oils? TOP
We only use 100% pure essential oils, which are not actually oils at all.  Essential oils are sourced straight from plants and fruits, and put in simple terms, they're the essence of the item that they're sourced from.  Essential oils do not contain any synthetic ingredients and are generally non-reactive for those with extremely sensitive skin.

Fragrance oils are synthetic oil blends.  Fragrance oils generally have a low flash point and can potentially cause rashes for people with extremely sensitive skin.  Fragrance oils are also quite potent when in their undiluted form and you should avoid skin and eye contact when they're at their full strength.  We only use fragrance oils that are tested and approved for use in skin care products and always ensure that we use them at or below their recommended ratios.

Do you offer combined shipping? TOP
Yes, we are happy to offer combined shipping on larger orders.  We have our cart set up to calculate shipping properly for most orders, but please feel free to e-mail us for a personalized shipping quote on large orders to ensure that shipping is calculated correctly.

Will you ship internationally? TOP

Why does the box that my order came in have another company's name on it? TOP
In order to reduce waste and resource consumption and keep our costs low for our customers, we re-use boxes that our suppliers have used to ship our orders to us. 

I just used your laundry detergent for the first time and the water in my washer is dirty. Did I do something wrong? TOP
No, you didn't do anything wrong.  Our detergent is just doing its job right.

Many, many commercial laundry detergents and fabric softeners work by coating your clothes in chemicals and fragrances in order to make them seem clean.  Jenny's Simply Clean strips away this residue and gets the dirt and stains out of your clothes, which is why the first few washes look so gross.

How quickly can I get an order shipped? TOP
Generally, orders ship within 7-14 days after cleared payment.  If you're in a pinch and need your order shipped more quickly, send an e-mail to jenny@jennyssimplyclean.com and we'll work to get your order out quickly.

Can I wash in cold water? TOP
Absolutely!  We wash exclusively with cold water with fabulous results.

What's the difference between regular and hypoallergenic detergent? TOP
Our regular detergent is made with a soap that contains dyes and fragrances, and as such, some people could potentially react to the dye or fragrance.  The chances are slim, but we recognize that many of our customers would like to have an option that does not contain dyes or scents.

Our hypoallergenic detergent is made with pure olive oil soap.  Because it's made from pure olive oil soap, it does smell a bit like olives and also has a greenish tint, but the color and smell are completely natural.

What other products do I need to use with your detergent? TOP
While using an oxygen cleaner or bleach will not cause a negative reaction with our detergent, you generally do not need to add anything to your wash in order to get great results.  An oxygen cleaner will provide a nice boost to our detergent for super soiled loads.
